His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus arrived in San Francisco at noon on May 5, accompanied by Protodeacon Victor Lochmatov, Deacon Eugene Kallaur and Subdeacon Nicholas Olhovsky. His Eminence was met at the airport by His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, Mitred Protopriest Alexander Lebedeff, Protopriest Stephan Pavlenko, Priest Serafim Gan and Archdeacon Andronik (Taratuchin).
His Eminence then went to the home of Protopriest Yaroslav Belikov, where a lunch was given in honor of His Eminence. That evening, on the eve of the feast day of Great Martyr George, the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia prayed at all-night vigil at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow."
