Day 6 of the IV All-Diaspora Council

At the beginning of the meeting of May 13, 2006, the Vice President, Protopriest Nicholas Karipoff, announced the arrival of His Eminence Archbishop Alypy of Chicago and Detroit to the IV All-Diaspora Council. The Council then turned to discussing the draft resolution on the ministry and mission of the Russian Church Abroad in the modern world and the Council's epistle. The Epistle garnered 102 yea votes, 3 nays and 15 abstaining.

The Senior Secretary of the Council, Protopriest Peter Perekrestov, then read the minutes from the previous day.

The last day of the Council ended in prayer with a solemn all-night vigil, at which His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, officiated.
