Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany and Clergymen of the Russian Church Abroad Participate in the Farewell Ceremony for the Remains of Empress Maria Feodorovna

On September 23, 2006, after the farewell ceremony for the remains of Empress Maria Feodorovna at Roskilde Cathedral, the catafalque containing the coffin departed for Copenhagen with an honorary escort. In the Danish capital, the coffin was place on a horse-drawn funeral carriage. The solemn procession traveled through the streets of the Empress' native city. A funerary litiya was served at the church of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The coffin was then placed onto the military vessel "Esbern Snarre," which then headed for Russia.
