From the Editors: Below is the ukase on the convening of a Diocesan Assembly and Pastoral Retreat of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York. Diocesan clergy and elected delegates can obtain further information from the official website of the Diocese (www.eadiocese.org) as well as register for the event. Visitors to this site, which will be updated periodically, will have the opportunity to follow the preparations for and work of this forum.

TO ALL EASTERN AMERICAN DIOCESAN CLERGY
A diocesan annual meeting and pastoral conference has been summoned in Jackson, NJ at St. Vladimir’s Memorial Church on March 16–18th of this year. The presence of all members of the diocesan clergy, together with elected laymen equal in number to the clergy representatives, is mandatory. Participation is open to both men and women of the laity. Each parish is responsible for reimbursing its clergy and representatives for their traveling, accommodation, and registration expenses.
Each parish treasurer is to forward a check in the amount of $150.00 per parish clergyman and representative payable to: St. Vladimir’s Memorial Church, (Attn: Fr. Serge Ledkovsky) PO Box 143, Jackson, NJ 08527 no later than February 28th to cover the host parish’s expenses in sponsoring this conference.
The nearby Radisson Hotel of Freehold has agreed to provide their double-occupancy rooms to us for $89 per night. When calling, please mention that you are attending the Russian Orthodox Clergy conference in Jackson. Each participant must make his own lodging arrangements with the Radisson hotel or some other motel of his choice.
