The Kuban Diocese Puts Out a Film on Archbishop Victor (Svyatyne)
The Kuban Diocese in Russian has published a film titled “Beiguan. The Last Russian Orthodox Mission in China,” which covers the 20th Mission in China and its chief, appointed in the 1930’s by the administration of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Archbishop Victor (Svyatyne). The film includes the joys and difficulties experienced by Vladyka Victor and the flock of that mission during the Japanese occupation, the Cultural Revolution and the closing of the mission, when the East-Asian Exarchate of the Moscow Patriarchate was established.
