His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion celebrates Divine Liturgy at Protection of the Holy Virgin Church in Cabramatta

On Saturday, November 5, 2011, the feast day of Holy Apostle James, Brother of the Lord and first Bishop of Jerusalem, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, officiated at Divine Liturgy at Protection of the Holy Virgin Church in Cabramatta (Sydney), Australia, as part of an archpastoral visit to Australia and New Zealand.  The Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God “of the Sign” was brought to the church at the beginning of services. Subdeacon Andrei Morgan was ordained to the deaconate during the service.
