Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York Celebrates His Namesday in the Lavra of the Russian Diaspora

On Saturday, November 3, 2012, the feast day of St Hilarion, Schemamonk of the Kievan Caves, Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, held celebrations devoted to the namesday of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. His Eminence celebrated Divine Liturgy at the monastery cathedral. Before the veneration of the cross, the Abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery, Archimandrite Luke (Murianka), expressed his heartfelt greeting to Vladyka Metropolitan, wishing him Divine aid in his difficult task. A reception was then offered in honor of the First Hierarch after the services in the Abbot’s residence.
