Clergymen of the Synod Administration Received

Ecclesiastical Awards Before Nativity Season On Sunday, December 30, 2012, the Sunday of the Holy Forefathers, Divine Liturgy at St Seraphim Memorial Church of the Reunification in Sea Cliff, NY, was headed by His Grace Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese, along with the parish clergymen and visiting priests. During the minor entrance, His Grace, in accordance with a decision by the Synod of Bishops on December 12, 2012, elevated Deacon Eugene Kallaur, Visual Communications Director at the Synod of Bishops,  to the rank of protodeacon. On Sunday, January 6, 2013, the Sunday of the Holy Fathers and Christmas Eve, Bishop Jerome celebrated Divine Liturgy and Nativity vespers at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign.” His Grace was joined by Protopriest Andrei Sommer, Senior Priest of the cathedral, and other clergymen. During the minor entrance, Vladyka Jerome, in accordance with a decision by the Synod of Bishops on December 12, 2012, gave the golden pectoral cross to Priest Nicholas Olhovsky, Caretaker of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God “of the Sign.” A report on the Nativity celebrations can be viewed on the cathedral’s website:nycathedralofsign.org.
