Protodeacon John Onopko is Buried at Holy Trinity Monastery

On Friday, September 20, 2013, the eve of the Nativity of the Most-Holy Mother of God, Archimandrite Luke (Murianka), rector of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, led the funeral services for Protodeacon John Onopko, who died on Wednesday, September 18. Participating in the service were the monastic clergymen, seminarians, worshipers, friends and admirers of the late clergyman. Protodeacon Victor Lochmatow read a heartfelt eulogy for Fr John, with whom he had served in church for many years.

Fr John was then buried at Holy Trinity Monastery cemetery.
