Metropolitan Amphilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral Performs All-Night Vigil in Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral on the Eve of the
Entrance Into the Temple of the Most-Holy Mother of God in Chicago
On the eve of the great feast day of the Entrance Into the Temple of the Most-Holy Mother of God, His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilohije of Montenegro and Littoral officiated at Divine Liturgy at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia in Chicago, IL. His Eminence was accompanied by His Grace Bishop Longin of New Gracanica and Midwestern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church, along with two deacons. Concelebrating was also His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland of ROCOR and the cathedral’s clergymen.
The choir sang magnificently, joined by some singers from nearby Resurrection Cathedral of the Serbian Orthodox Church. At the end of the service, Bishop Peter thanked Metropolitan Amphilohije for finding the time for joint prayer, and also for his staunch defense of the rights of the Orthodox faithful in the Balkans. After the service, the clergymen and guests were invited to a light Lenten repast in the parish hall.
