Metropolitan Hilarion Celebrates Divine Liturgy on St Theodore the Tyro Saturday
On March 8, 2014 , St Theodore the Tyro Saturday , His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, celebrated St John Chrystosom’s Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York. He was joined by Protopriest Andrei Sommer, Senior Priest of the cathedral, along with Hieromonk Evtiky (Dovganyuk); Priest Nicholas Olhovsky, Protodeacon Nicolas Mokhoff and Deacon Denis Lvov.
The Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God “of the Sign” was present at the service.
At the end of services, His Eminence congratulated all those in attendance with the completion of the first week of Great Lent, expressing the hope that everyone partake of the Holy Gifts as often as possible during this salvific period.
