Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Returns to the US

On Thursday, April 23, 2015, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, arrived safely from Australia to the USA.

Greeted at the John F Kennedy Airport by Protopriest Alexandre Antchoutine, rector of Intercession Church in Glen Cove, NY, His Eminence was driven to the Synodal Residence in New York, where he was welcomed by Protopriest Andrei Sommer and Protopriest Seraphim Gan. His Eminence met with his clergyman, sharing news of church life in the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, where His Grace Bishop George recently arrived as a new Vicar Bishop, and discussed local church matters.

On Sunday, April 26 , the Sunday of the Myrrh-Bearing Women, Metropolitan Hilarion will officiate at Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York.
