Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America Will Consecrate a New Monastery Dedicated to St Silouan the Athonite

A new men's monastery dedicated to the memory of a Russian monk who labored on the Holy Mountain of Athos, Greece, will be opened within the jurisdiction of the Western American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia on the feast day of the holy man, St Silouan the Athonite, on September 24, 2015.
Divine Liturgy in the new monastery will be celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America along with his vicar, His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle and other diocesan clergymen. Afterwards, a moleben "before the beginning of a good work" will be performed, followed by a procession of the cross by the clerics and worshipers around the chapel grounds.
