Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York visits the Altai Metropoliate
On July 30, 2016, the capital of the Altai region was visited by His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York and a group of pilgrims from America and Australia. They were greeted by His Eminence Metropolitan Sergy of Barnaul and Altai. The pilgrims include people from America, Europe, Australia, Moscow and St Petersburg.
The aim of their visit is to visit the historical sites connected to Orthodox Christian missions, including Biisk, Maima, Chemal and Teletz Lake. In Barnaul, the pilgrims visited the churches of St Dimitry and St Nicholas, Znamensky Convent and tourist attractions in the city. Metropolitan Sergy served a moleben for the pilgrims.
