The Rector of St Seraphim Church in Queensland is Given a Synodal Award
On Sunday, January 15, 2017, the feast day of the Repose and Second Translation of the Relics of St Seraphim of Sarov, His Grace Bishop George of Canberra led divine services at the church dedicated to the saint in Brisbane, Australia. His Grace was joined by Archimandrite Theodosius (Clare), Priest Gabriel Lapardin, the Parish Rector, and local clergymen.
During the minor entrance, Fr Gabriel was awarded the gold pectoral cross with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, for his zealous service to the Church of Christ.
After Divine Liturgy, the parish sisterhood offered an abundant trapeza luncheon at the church hall.
