Elevation of the Cross Cathedral celebrates the 20th anniversary of the pastoral service of Protopriest Emilian Pocinoc

On the 19th Sunday after Pentecost, when the Holy Church celebrates the memory of the Holy Fathers of the 7th Ecumenical Council, an especially large gathering of parishioners and worshipers gathered at the Cathedral of the Elevation of the Cross in Geneva, Switzerland. On this day, Protopriest Emelian Pocinoc of the cathedral, Secretary of the Western European Diocese, marked the 20th anniversary of his priestly ordination.

After Divine Liturgy, Protopriest Pavel Tsvetkoff, Dean of the cathedral, congratulated Fr Emilian. He recalled the words of St Gregory the Theologian, who considered pastoral service "the science of sciences," and "art of arts," stressing the importance of bearing this cross in today's world. The eminent pastor wished Fr Emilian physical and spiritual strength to continue to serve God and mankind.
