Registration opens for the 6th Pan-European Liturgical Music Conference

The Western European Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia is pleased to announce that the 6th Pan-European Orthodox Music Conference organised by the ROCOR’s All-European Church Music Committee will take place in London in January, 2025, all are invited to take part. The conference will be dedicated to the famed Church composer DS.Bortniansky whose, bicentenary is celebrated in 2025, and the repertoire of services will include his works.

The conference will feature lectures by renowned international specialists in the field of choral singing and church-musicianship, workshops and group discussions.

The special focus in 2025 will be on the questions of preserving tradition in church singing, discussing the influence of modern trends on this need. The issues of choosing a suitable repertoire will also be touched upon.

As ever, the conference welcomes church choir conductors, singers, readers, and all others interested in Russian Orthodox choral music.
