The clergy of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America express alarm over the violent seizure of the Cherkasy Cathedral by marauders of the "OCU"
"We express our condolences to Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy on the violent seizure of his cathedral, and lament the ongoing confiscation of other holy places that are under the omophorion of Metropolitan Onouphry," states the Resolution of the Autumnal Diocesan Clergy Retreat of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America: https://chicagodiocese.org/news_241024_1
The gathering took place on 21-22 October, 2024, in Houston, TX, presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America.
The participants also "exhort all to pray for our nation and its leaders, while remaining mindful to “put not your trust in princes, in sons of men, in whom there is no salvation” (Psalm 145:3).
