The Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" hosts the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God to benefit the victims of the fires in California

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, the Sunday of Zacchaeus, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in San Francisco, CA. His Eminence was co-served by the cathedral clergy, and the liturgical hymns were sung by the Hierarchal Choir under the direction of Vladimir Krassovsky.

At the Divine Liturgy, special prayers were prayed for the cessation of natural disasters in California and for all those affected by the elements. At the end of the service, a moleben was performed before the miraculous Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign."
