Christ the Savior Parish in West Virginia will host a music symposium

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, the inaugural Christ the Savior Music Symposium will be held from June 11-14, 2025, at Christ the Savior Church in Wayne, WV.

This English-language music symposium will be led by instructors from the Synodal School of Liturgical Music including Protodeacon Serge Arlievsky, Peter Fekula, Irina du Quenoy, and Mark Hrebinka and will include many workshops, roundtable discussions, rehearsals, and engaging lectures from our instructors. The symposium will culminate with vespers and matins on Friday evening and Divine Liturgy on Saturday morning, chanted by symposium participants.

On Saturday morning, following Liturgy, attendees will travel to nearby Holy Cross Monastery for a tour of the monastery grounds and a short chant performance in the new catholicon.

The cost of the conference is $150 per person and includes meals. Hotel accommodations will need to be made by participants at one of the nearby hotels:
