Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York receives Archbishop Theodosius of Sebastia

On Saturday, 31 May, 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, received His Eminence His Eminence Archbishop Theodosios of Sebastia of the Jerusalem Patriarchate at Ascension of the Lord Convent on the Mt of Olives.

The archpastors discussed mutual interests, inter-Orthodox affairs and the persecution of Christians throughout the world. Metropolitan Nicholas concluded the meeting by giving a painted copy of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of god “of the Sign” to His Eminence Archbishop Theodosius, wishing him the aid of the Most-Blessed Virgin Mother of God in his archpastoral service.
