The nationwide celebration of the memory of Saint John, Archbishop of Shanghai, Miracle-Worker of San Francisco, at “Joy of All Who Sorrow” Cathedral

The nationwide celebration of the memory of Saint John, Archbishop of Shanghai, Miracle-Worker of San Francisco, will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

SCHEDULE:

Thursday, July 3 at 7 PM — Transfer of the relics of St John to the center of the Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” and a moleben with an akathist.

Friday, July 4 at 6 PM — Meeting of His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America and festive all-night vigil.

Saturday, July 5 at 9 AM — Meeting of Archbishop Kyrill, followed by joint service of the archpastors of the Divine Liturgy and a moleben with a procession of the cross.

After the service, the cathedral sisterhood will offer a meal for the archpastors, clergy, all parishioners, and pilgrims.
