Video on the Openin of St Silouan of Athos Monastery in California

From the Editors: On September 24, 2015, a men's monastery dedicated to St Silouan of Mt Athos opened in California. Divine Liturgy was led by His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America along with his clergymen and clerics of other Local Orthodox Churches who minister on the West Coast. The service was performed in a temporary chapel, after which a procession was led around the monastery's territory. The abbot of the community is Archimandrite Irinei (Steenberg).
